Nicholas Thomas was the local butcher in Wilson Street, Berwick. In 1920 Alonzo married Mary Ellen.

In 1924 Alonzo lived in Wilson Street, Berwick and his occupation was Blacksmith.

In 1931 Lower Beaconsfield, Alonzo was married to Mary Ellen Lucy McElroy.

There are no records that show that Alonzo  served in the First World War, the reason for his inclusion in “Ada’s list” is unknown. There are no other men with the name AG Thomas living in the Beaconsfield district or associated with the Armytage family.

Perhaps he was the Blacksmith that Ada Armytage frequented.

Died in November 1967 at Dandenong, Victoria.

Buried on the 6thNovember 1967 at Berwick Cemetery, Victoria
