Beaconsfield’s Soldiers Remembered

Eternal flame at the Shrine of Remembrance in St Kilda Road Melbourne

This Digital Memorial has been installed by the Beaconsfield Progress Association to remember and honour the women and men from Beaconsfield who served in the armed forces during World War One.

The memorial consolidates much of the information known about Beaconsfield’s soldiers and their service in a digital form to preserve it for future generations. It forms part of the heritage of Beaconsfield and is a Digital Memorial.

Resources to complete the project have been provided by volunteers who researched and compiled the information, the Department of Veteran Affairs Anzac Centenary Local Grants Program which provided funding to purchase the memorial hardware and software, the Beaconsfield Community Complex which has provided the space to install the memorial and the Cardinia Shire Council which installed the memorial.

Information researched , compiled and written by Graeme and Ann Taylor, Penny Harris Jennings and Barry Hyde.

If you have any relevant information which is not included in the memorial, please contact the Progress Association. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
