Edmund was killed in action in France on the 8th October 1918.

He posthumously received the Star Medal 1914/1915, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal on the 14th November 1922. The medals were accepted by his mother in England.

Edmund was interred in the Bellicourt British Cemetery in Bellicourt, Picardie, France.

BPA is a voluntary organisation representing the interests of residents and businesses of Beaconsfield, liaising with Cardinia Shire Council, Commonwealth and State Governments and Non-Government bodies in regard to planning & community issues, events and amenities for Beaconsfield.
