MAKE AND MINGLE friendship and craft group meets every Wednesday from 10am- 12 noon during school term at Beaconsfield Baptist Church, 7 Desmond Court. You are welcome to bring your craft to work on or just come for a cuppa and a chat.
This group has a heart for helping others and in May they hosted “Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea”. Money raised goes to the Cancer Council to help with cancer research. So many within the group have been touched by cancer in some way and they appreciate this opportunity to show their support.
Make and Mingle also contributes to Follow Bless Collective Community Care by donating food items suitable for food parcels and hampers for those requiring them.
Your used postage stamps can help raise money for missions. We don’t receive as many letters with postage stamps on them as we used to. However, if you save the stamps, please leave them on the envelope or tear them off with a big margin around them and then drop them into Beaconsfield Baptist Church, that would really help. The stamps are sorted and trimmed and go to stamp dealers and the money raised helps to support missions both in Australia and overseas.
The group also packs care bears with survival kits. These bears have cheered many people, just when they needed a lift. You are very welcome to come along on a Wednesday to Make and Mingle for a cuppa and a chat.
