Beaconsfield Dental – Recycling used Toothbrushes, empty floss and paste containers with Terracyle
Governments and industry are attempting to introduce initiatives that recycle certain items. One of these initiatives is Colgate’s Terracycle. Col-gate and Terracycle have partnered to recycle dental hygiene products. Colgate’s Terracycle is a system whereby used oral health products are disposed of and then collected for recycling.
The items that can be recycled include toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, and floss containers. When the cardboard receptacles are full, they are collected for recycling. Electric toothbrushes use a different recycling stream as they have batteries in them.
Beaconsfield Dental have these receptacles in our patient lounge where patients can drop off their used oral hygiene products.
