Beaconsfield Banner Winter 2019 Make and Mingle

Australia’s biggest morning tea at Make and Mingle

Make and Mingle friendship and craft group  enjoys lots of crafts and sharing friendship and morning tea together.

Recently the group has been able to support groups that support others by providing some funding and items to the Bless Collective food van that provides friendship and meals to the homeless and needy at Burke Park Pakenham two nights per week.  Make and Mingle have also supported the flood victims in Townsville and made a donation to Epilepsy through their ‘purple day’.  Each year is Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, and morning tea is shared and tea items displayed and a donation  made to Cancer Council of Victoria.

Donations have also been made to the Children’s Hospital Activity Packs provided by Beaconsfield Baptist Church and supporting the knitting group at Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre who knit for 4C’s.

Each week lots of craft items are made at Make and Mingle including knitted hats and beanies, socks, baby clothes and toys.  Everyone enjoys making greeting cards and there is a range of different ones using die cuts, embossing, stamping and other techniques.   Some people have even started making Christmas cards.   Patchwork quilts, carry bags and embroidery are also popular.

You are always welcome to come along for friendship and craft and a cuppa  any Wednesday during school term 10-12 noon at Beaconsfield Baptist Church, 7 Desmond Court.

SAVE THE DATE

Make and Mingle CRAFT FAIR is on again this year on Saturday 9th November 9am-2pm.  There will be lots of lovely craft items for sale as well as craft supplies and a plant stall and morning tea.

Mark this date  in your diaries for a great day out and some Christmas shopping.
