CASEY CARDINIA NATIONAL TRUST HERITAGE DAY was held this year at Fisherman’s Cottage in Tooradin on 4 May.
This historical site was an ideal place to display history from this local area and many people were able to visit.
Beaconsfield Progress Association had a display in the old school room and showed historical information about Beaconsfield Primary School and also Harriet Glismann who taught at Upper Beaconsfield Primary School.
Other groups displayed were Dandenong High School History group, Narre Warren Family History group, Casey Cardinia Library, Casey Cardinia National Trust, Cranbourne History group, Berwick Pakenham Historical Society, Berwick Mechanics Institute and Edrington History Group.
Casey Council Mayor Cr Amanda Stapleton officially opened the event.
Thank you to Heather Arnold from Casey Cardinia Library local history group who organised the day and all the groups who participated.
