As we head into our beautiful Victorian Spring and Summer seasons, it is an opportune time, to not only get the mind and body ready for enjoying long summer days, but to also take the chance to plan and prepare for the fire season ahead.
We have all come together and shared in rebuilding and growing our community over the last two years and supported each other through this journey. We can build on this by checking in with the local CFA and following the link https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare for more information, on how to plan and prepare for the fire season ahead to keep our community safe.
We cannot forget the devastating bushfires across the state in 2009 and 2019/20. If we learnt anything it was to be fire ready. Let’s get together and continue to support each other as we embrace the beauty that comes with spring and summer and prepare our homes and community so we can enjoy these seasons with the knowledge of being ready for the fire season ahead.
As I write this article, we are just under 95 days to the upcoming November State election and with the state election boundaries redrawn and the new seat of Berwick formed, I will continue to represent this community as your voice in Parliament and I will be working hard to maintain your support to build stronger local communities. All of Beaconsfield will be in the state seat of Berwick, and I have nominated for this seat. I am local and would love the opportunity to continue to be your voice.
