
The summer has again passed with a sigh of relief that the fire season was not as feared and despite the ongoing campaign for the Grampians, the summer was cooler than expected and the north winds did not eventuate on the hot days.
Beaconsfield continues to be busy with many assistance calls supporting Berwick and Officer brigades with a variety of call-outs from a child locked in a car to house fire and the continued motor vehicle accidents. Please be alert at the O’Shea Road and Princes Freeway area as that attracts far too many motor vehicle accidents.
In April, the Brigade will hold its biannual election of office bearers.
With winter approaching it is time to check your smoke alarms and ensure they are operational Smoke alarms do save lives.
