Congratulations to Eric Chaplin, who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) at the 2024 Australia Day Awards.
Eric Chaplin has been President of Upper Beaconsfield RSL sub- branch for almost 25 years. He has been exceptional in his care for the returned servicemen in this area and also for many residents in the local community.
Beaconsfield does not have a RSL but does have a rich war history with many servicemen and women who served in World War I & World War II and other conflicts. Eric has always attended the Beaconsfield ANZAC Memorial Services and provided the roll call of Beaconsfield servicemen & women. He has also supported Beaconsfield Avenue of Honour and Digital Memorial.
Eric is always there to lend a hand whenever needed in so many other ways too and so many have been helped over the years. Our local area is truly blessed by all Eric has done for this community over the years.
