Beaconsfield Banner Autumn 2021 Beaconsfield ANZAC memorial Service 2021

The Beaconsfield Anzac Memorial Service was first held in 1999. Since then a Memorial Service has been held each year on the Sunday before Anzac Day. Last year 2020, we had to cancel the service for the first time due to the Covid pandemic and the Covid restrictions in place at the time.  However we were able to fly our flags at the Cenotaph and lay wreaths to mark the occasion.

This year 2021, we would like to have a service of some kind, but it would most likely be smaller than the usual service.  At this stage we are awaiting advice from the Government and Cardinia Shire Council.

Information will be available on our website and the face book page and our noticeboard, near Woolworths.

Beaconsfield has a history of dedicated war service.  The website www.beaconsfield.org.au  has information about The Beaconsfield Avenue of Honour, The Honour Board and the information on our digital memorial is now available on the website.  This covers information about the two world wars and the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne and information about Beaconsfield Soldiers.

BPA is a voluntary organisation representing the interests of residents and businesses of Beaconsfield, liaising with Cardinia Shire Council, Commonwealth and State Governments and Non-Government bodies in regard to planning & community issues, events and amenities for Beaconsfield.
