Goodbye Jenny Tye

Jenny passed away peacefully on 6th April, 2026, aged 67 years.

Wife of Don and mum to Melinda and Brendan.

Jenny and Don have lived in Beaconsfield for almost 40 years.

As a creative person, Jenny became a very talented artist and many people in Beaconsfield have her paintings in their homes. Jenny was an active member of the Toomuc Valley art group which meets weekly to work on their projects and share their expertise etc.

Jenny was a regular Beaconsfield Baptist church Make and Mingle participant and one of the initial group of girls who started Make and Mingle almost 40 years ago. Make and Mingle meets every Wednesday during the school term and has an attendance of 40-60 people each week.

Jenny and Don were regular participants in community events, for example, the Beaconsfield ANZAC Memorial Service held each year prior to ANZAC day at Bonnette Reserve.

Line dancing was held for many years at the Beaconsfield scout hall and Jenny was a regular participant with her friends.

Don has been a long time member of the Beaconsfield CFA and Jenny was always available to attend and help at the many events and functions run to support the brigade.

Jenny was one of a small group of girls who had morning tea each Monday morning at Ducky’s cafe with friends. This continued until the last few weeks.

She was a long time supporter of the Melbourne Football Club and was very happy to see them win the premiership in 2021.

Rest in peace Jenny
