Congratulations to Dr Robert Panjkov on winning the FDI (World Dental Federation) individual sustainability award. Beaconsfield Dental had been at the forefront of environmental sustainability for over ten years.
Measures include :
- 144 solar panels capable of generating over 200 kWh of electricity on a good This equates to over 300,000 kWh generated in 20 years and a saving of over 350 tonnes of CO2.
- 17,000 litre water tank capacity for garden irrigation and toilet flush saving 100,000 litres of water per year.
- Indigenous and native garden including edibles
- 14 compost bins for food waste, shredded and scrap paper and garden clippings
- Water tanks painted with Victoria’s floral and faunal emblems
- Tesla charger
- Solar hot water
- Rubbish collection by the staff and dentists of the surrounding area including Akoonah Park.
