Beaconsfield Tennis Courts
Cardinia Shire Council is pleased to acknowledge the official opening of the upgraded tennis courts in Beaconsfield.
Two courts were upgraded with the support of Council’s Community Capital Works grant program and the federal government’s Stronger Communities grant program.
I congratulate the Beaconsfield Tennis Club for applying for the council grant and for its advocacy for the project. The courts look great.
Have your say: Active Cardinia Strategy
Council is inviting our community to review and provide feedback on its draft Active Cardinia Strategy.
The draft Active Cardinia Strategy has been prepared based on feedback received during the initial round of community consultation undertaken in mid-2022.
Providing a framework and direction for the long-term planning, development and management of sport and recreation facilities across the municipality, the draft Strategy also identifies programming and activation opportunities to increase participation in sport and active recreation across the shire.
The draft Active Cardinia Strategy represents Council’s commitment to increasing opportunities for participation in sport and active recreation across its communities.
This document outlines a shared vision for Cardinia Shire to foster a healthy and active community, which is supported by a network of high quality and accessible facilities, vibrant clubs, strong partnerships, and that promotes equitable opportunities to engage in sport and active recreation.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the development of this draft through the community consultation last year. We are currently seeking your feedback on the draft document, including your opinions on the identified challenges and opportunities and the proposed actions to be delivered in the short term.
Consultation closes Tuesday 7 March 2023.
Our community can provide input and feedback in a number of ways including:
