Harry was wounded in August 1918, he returned to Australia on the 25th June 1919 and was discharged on the 28th August 1919.
On the 27th June 1921, he received the British War Medal and, later, on the 11th November 1922 he received the Victory Medal.
On the 27 March 1927 Harry married Harriet Francis Johnson, they had Four children, Jack Leopold, Harold Desmond, Ellen Catherine and Carlos David Martin.

“The wedding was celebrated at St Johns Church of England, Sorrento, on March 27, by Rev Mr Warner, of Mr Harold Lever, of Brighton to Miss Ettie Johnson of “Creswick” Back Beach Road”.
After the war Harold lived the remainder of his life in Dromana, Victoria.
Harold died on the 11th September 1968 in Sorrento and was buried on the 12th September 1968 at the Sorrento Cemetery, Victoria.
