There are no records that show that Alonzo served in the First World War, the reason for his inclusion in “Ada’s list” is unknown. There are no other men with the name AG Thomas living in the Beaconsfield district or associated with the Armytage family.

Perhaps he was the Blacksmith that Ada Armytage frequented.

Died in November 1967 at Dandenong, Victoria.
