<\/h5>\nOn the 4th<\/sup>October 1917 Herman received a mild gunshot wound to his back. He returned to active duty and on the 28th<\/sup>August 1918 was wounded with a gunshot wound to his right knee. Returned to Australia on the 16th<\/sup>June 1919.
