Richard was wounded in action on the 30th<\/sup> September 1917. He had a severe shrapnel wound to his right forearm. Returned to Australia on the 10th<\/sup>January 1918. Discharged on the 29th<\/sup>August 1918.<\/p>\n

Richard returned to the district of Beaconsfield. He remained a farmer in Beaconsfield and Berwick Road, Harkaway. He never married.<\/p>\n

Died on the 21st<\/sup>November 1946.<\/p>\n
