Neighbourhood Centres are unique because they
respond to the needs of their local communities. Beaconsfield Neighbourhood
Centre is a place where everyone is treated equally with respect, regardless
of age, race, gender or ability. At Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre everyone
has the opportunity to develop skills, build self-esteem, interact with others
in our community and have fun.
YOU CAN JUST DROP IN
If you would like to have a look at our new Centre, you can just call in
during office hours. While you are here check out the notice board or pamphlets
or pick up a copy of the program.
OR COME TO A COURSE
Our courses are held in a friendly welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation.
We are a non-profit organization and course fees are kept as low as possible.
There are a variety of courses offered in this program, but if you have ideas
about a course you would like to do, please let us know. Perhaps others would
like to do it too.
HOW WE ARE MANAGED AND FUNDED
A voluntary Committee of Management runs the Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre.
In order for the Centre to remain truly a community based provider, we encourage
active communication and comments amongst all Centre members and Centre decision
makers.
The Centre is funded by:

> Fees paid for courses and activities

Would you like to volunteer at the Centre?
Do you have a skill to share? Would you like to help out in the office, by
tutoring, with activity or Centre display setup, maybe an extra pair of hands
for our playgroups? Different interests can be accommodated. You can volunteer
for one-off activities or on a regular basis. Please contact the Office co-ordinator
to discuss how you can help us.
MEMBERSHIP AND COURSE FEES
It is a Committee of Management Policy that everyone who takes part in
the Neighbourhood Centre program becomes a ember of the Centre. The membership
fee is $10.00 per family per year & $7.50 concession. The fee is non
refundable, and assists with the day to day running costs of the Centre. |
CONCESSIONS
Concessions are available for pensioners, unemployed & students.
Health Care cards must be sighted. If you are experiencing difficulty paying,
please talk to the coordinator. All discussions will be confidential. |
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE INCLUDED IN NEXT TERMS PROGRAM?
There are a variety of courses offered in this program, but if you have ideas
about a course you would like to do, perhaps you would like the course to
be offered at another time, please let us know. Your comments and ideas are
valuable to us, as we strive to meet the needs and interests of the community. Talk to Mim Gillespie at the centre on 8768 4400. FEES
We have a commitment to pay our tutors. You are encouraged to pay full
fees when your course commences. However, we do not want people to miss out
and payment plans can be worked out with the coordinator |
CANCELLATION OF COURSES
If a course is cancelled due to insufficient numbers, a full refund will
be given. All courses are subject to numbers, so please contact the Centre
the week before your course is due to start to ensure your course will be
running. If you wish to withdraw from a course you need to do so one week
before commencement. NO REFUNDS will be given after this time |

All personal information collected is kept in accordance with information
